Carson City sheriff's deputies arrest man for felony violation of extended protection order
A 25-year-old man was arrested Monday for suspicion of violation of an extended protection order for stalking and harassing, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Michael Daniel Bear Anderson was taken into custody at 8:03 p.m. According to the booking report deputies were sent to the 4700 block of South Carson Street for a welfare check on Anderson, who was texting the reporting party. Deputies were advised there was an extended protection order against the man for stalking/harassing, the report states.
Deputies made contact with the man via a phone number from Carson City local dispatch records. The man advised he was on his bicycle at South Curry and Rhodes streets. A deputy met with the man at the location and read him his Miranda rights.
The man agreed to speak and admitted to contacting the person. He also advised he thought the extended protection order was expired. He stated he was contacting the person as he wanted an apology for her calling him a stalker, the report states.
The CCSO deputy confirmed the extended protection order expires August 22, 2024.
During the investigation, the CCSO deputy was provided text messages and voicemails from him leaving his name, a violation of the "no contact" protection order. He was arrested. Bail: $10,000.
