Nevada Real Estate Division appointments common-interest community ombudsman
Nevada Real Estate Division Administrator Sharath Chandra has announced that a key leadership position at the division has been filled. Jason Wyatt has been named Ombudsman for Owners in Common-Interest Communities and Condominium Hotels Ombudsman effective Sept. 1.
He will be responsible for leading the office created to assist homeowners and board members in common-interest communities to better understand their rights and obligations under the law and their governing documents.
Jason joins the division with a wide range of experience within federal, local and state agencies. He began his career with the U.S. Department of Energy with government contractor Donald Clark and Associates. He has worked for various agencies including Clark County Child and Family Services, Westcare and Economic Opportunity Board of Clark County, including serving on neighborhood advisory committees and working closely with Nevada’s congressional delegation on issues pertaining to housing needs in southern Nevada.
For the past two decades, Jason has worked in the insurance industry. During this time, he served in various functional roles, including management and leadership positions at companies including Travelers Insurance, AAA Insurance and Sierra Health Services.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, and watching his nephew play football for Colorado State University.
