NDOT: Overnight U.S. 395 lane closures in Gardnerville next week
CARSON CITY — Overnight single lane closures will be in place on U.S. 395 in Gardnerville the evening of Monday, Sept. 9 through the morning of Thursday, Sept. 12 as the Nevada Department of Transportation repaves sections of roadway surface.
Between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly the evening of Sept. 9 through the morning of Sept. 12, single lane closures will be in place on both directions of U.S. 395 between Waterloo Lane and First Street. Atleast one lane of travel will remain open in each direction. Minor travel delays are to be anticipated.
Freight trucks and oversize vehicles traveling U.S. 395 in the area will be detoured via Buckeye Road and Toler Avenue as directed by detour signage. The construction schedule is subject to change.
Crews will excavate approximately three inches of potholed sections of road surface and refill with new pavement for a smoother and safer drive.
NDOT plans a more extensive roadway repaving project in future years as funding becomes available.
More than 20,000 vehicles travel the highway every day.
