Carson City students return to classrooms with class size limits, social distancing and masks
Students in the Carson City School District returned for their first day of in-person classes today, to much smaller class sizes, socially distanced desks and masks.
Many families opted to keep their students home for full distance learning classes, adding to the even smaller class sizes. The district opted for a hybrid schedule for all students, in which students are broken into two groups and attend classes in-person two days a week, and distance learn three days out of the week.
Go here for a checklist roundup of what's happening around the Carson City School District, including the hybrid schedule, remote learning schedule, food and nutrition services and more.
It's been approximately 160 days since students and teachers were inside school walls and both groups are happy to be getting back to their education after a difficult summer.
