Carson City area road report for the week of August 23-29

Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of August 23-29, 2021. Closures are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work:

— Curry Street between 2nd Street and 5th Street will be closed, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for road construction. Pedestrian detours will also be in place. Please plan accordingly.

— Kings Canyon Road west of Longview Way will be closed 7-days a week, all day, for roadway reconstruction. Only local residential access will be provided. The Waterfall Trailhead and parking area is also closed until further notice. Please do not come up Kings Canyon at this time. Instead, please use one of the many other wonderful open space areas in Carson City such as the Carson River area or Prison Hill.

— Northridge Drive between Table Rock Drive and Ridgecrest Drive will have single lane closures with flaggers, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm for construction of a concrete barrier rail. There will be intermittent closures at the intersections of Northridge Drive at Wilma Way and at Ridgecrest Drive. Please follow detour routes and plan accordingly.

— Sophia Street between Curry Street and Nevada Street will be closed, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm for a water main installation. Pedestrian detours will also be in place. Please plan accordingly.

Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work:
— Long line and short line striping and painting will take place citywide, Sunday through Friday, 8:00pm to 6:00am. Please use caution and do not pass painting trucks. Also, please do not drive in wet paint.

— Curry Street between Ann Street and William Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm for a water main installation. Please use caution and follow all roadwork signage.

— Fairview Drive between E. 5th Street and Butti Way will have shoulder work, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm for utility construction. The multi-use path will be closed. Please use caution and follow all roadwork zone signage.

— Long Street between Roop Street and Rand Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.

— Molly Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.

— Northridge Drive between Eastridge Drive and Carriage Crest Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Thursday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm for a roadway reconstruction project. There will be intermittent closures at the intersections of Northridge Drive and Carriage Crest Drive, Spooner Drive, and Eastridge Drive. Please use caution and follow marked detour routes.

— Rand Street between William Street and Camille Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.

— State Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
