Carson City emergency crews respond to vehicle over embankment in Brunswick Canyon
UPDATE: 5:20PM: No occupants have been located yet, either inside or outside of the vehicle that tumbled down an embankment into the Carson River this afternoon in Brunswick Canyon. Crews on scene continue searching the area for the subjects reportedly seen on the ridge from which the vehicle went over the embankment at the time of the incident.

Carson City Sheriff's deputies and Firefighter-Paramedics are responding to a call about a motor vehicle that went over an embankment in Brunswick Canyon Saturday afternoon.
According to Carson City Dispatch, a parks ranger noted a vehicle had gone over a 500 foot cliff and down an embankment to the Carson River about three miles into Brunswick Canyon off Deer Run Road.
The vehicle is reportedly partially submerged in the river at this time, and the parks ranger reported possibly seeing an occupant still in the vehicle.
However, witnesses swimming in the area report that they had seen two people standing up on the ridge after the vehicle went over. Those subjects have not been located yet and no information is available on the condition of the vehicle's occupants at this time.
Multiple rescue units are en route to the scene. This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
