A 25-year-old man was arrested August 7 for suspicion of domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

Deputies were dispatched at 11:36 p.m. to a residence for a report of a domestic battery. Officers arrived on scene and met with the victim who said her boyfriend had been drinking all day and was throwing beer and beer cans across the residence.

She stated that beer landed on her at one point and she confronted the man with a mop and told him to clean it up, the report states. She said the man threw a beer can at her and hit her on the left side of the head.

She also stated the suspect slapped her in the arm, and she hit him back. The physical violence ended when the man shut the door on the woman's foot, the arrest report states.
