NHP identifies man who died in motorcycle crash Saturday on Kingsbury Grade
The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified an Oregon man who died Saturday in a crash involving a motorcycle on State Route 207 Kingsbury Grade in Douglas County.
The rider, Kurt Kelso, 62, of Springfield, Oregon, died from injuries at an area hospital, according to NHP. On Saturday, August 1, 2020, at approximately 12:47 p.m., NHP troopers were dispatched to a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle at SR-207 and Douglas County mile marker 10.
The preliminary investigation shows a 2003 Harley Davidson was traveling north on SR-207 at approximately Douglas County mile marker 10.
While negotiating a left curve, the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a dirt mound. The rider, Kelso, was ejected from the motorcycle and was transported to the hospital where he later died, according to NHP.
