Douglas County declares state of emergency due Tamarack Fire

CARSON CITY, Nev. — Eight months into the fiscal year, Nevada has already brought in 83 percent of the year’s projected marijuana tax revenue, according to the Nevada Department of Taxation.

Roller derby athletes with at least minimum skills turned out Sunday afternoon to skate in the Key Club Knockout event held at the Carson City Community Center gymnasium.

Carson City emergency crews are on scene of a single vehicle injury accident at the park and ride parking lot off U.S. Highway West just west of the Spooner Junction with Interstate 580, U.S. Highways 395 and 50.

One male victim is currently being treated for a head injury, and Care Flight has been called in to transport.

The park and ride has been closed off by emergency crews.
