A suspect is at large following a shooting that occurred this evening in the area of Sherman Lane and Kit Sierra.
One male victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, but they do not appear to be life threatening, according to Sheriff Ken Furlong.
At least two people have been detained who are thought to have been associated with the shooting, but the suspect is still at large.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Filipino male wearing a white t-shirt and either blue or black jeans.
A man who was carrying a shotgun and matching the description was reported behind the Maverick about a half hour after the shooting occurred, but the sheriff does not know if it is related and no individuals have been detained from that report.
This is an ongoing investigation. Kit Sierra has been shut down near Sherman while the crime lab takes evidence, and the car used to transport the individual to the hospital has been secured.
More updates to follow as they become available.
