Carson City man arrested for third degree arson after allegedly starting fire behind local ranching store
Thursday night, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious suspect near a local ranching supply store who was reportedly talking to himself and "asking for people," according to the report.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located a small fire that was being fueled by brush.
The Carson City Fire Department responded and put the fire out, which was already smoldering.
Deputies arrested 58-year-old David McCormick for felony third degree arson and the Department of Alternative Sentencing placed a hold on him for violation of a suspended sentence.
He was taken to the jail without issue.
