Carson City arrests: Wife jailed for allegedly stabbing husband in arm during altercation
A 65-year-old Carson City woman was arrested late Sunday for suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing her husband in the arm, a sheriff's deputy report states.
Susan German was taken into custody in the 200 block of North Harbin Street at 11:04 p.m. According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff's Office sergeant was hailed by the victim in front of the administration building on Musser Street.
The victim told officers he had been stabbed by his wife with a kitchen knife. The victim stated both he and his wife had been in a verbal and physical altercation and that during the altercation, he was stabbed. An officer noted in the report that the man had a small laceration on his left forearm. He had earlier declined to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Deputies spoke with the woman, who was detained, where she gave a spontaneous utterance of "I think I stabbed him" multiple times, the report states. A kitchen style knife with blood on the blade was recovered from the residence. The woman was taken into custody for suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon. Bail: $15,000.
In other arrests:
— A Carson City man was arrested July 11 in the area of 20 College Parkway for suspicion of felony possession of a stolen vehicle, a sheriff's deputy report states.
Steven Charles Connor was arrested after a Carson City Sheriff's Office deputy assigned with the Special Enforcement Team noticed a man rummaging through the trunk of a vehicle. The officer ran the plate on the vehicle, which was confirmed stolen and was a Reno Police Department case.
The man was taken into custody without incident. Bail: $40,000.
— A 38-year-old male transient was taken into custody July 10 at Carson City Jail for a misdemeanor warrant alleging violation of probation conditions. Bail: $1,000.
— A 55-year-old Stagecoach man, Kenneth Doyle Holloway, was arrested July 10 in the 3100 block of North Carson Street for a felony parole and probation warrant issued in February. He was held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 24-year-old Sparks woman was taken into custody July 12, 6:30 p.m. at Carson City Jail for an outside agency misdemeanor warrant out of Reno Township Justice Court. Bail: $550.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 3:41 p.m. in the 1700 block of Brown Street for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the area for a report of a battery between a male and female. Officers interviewed both persons involved. The victim stated the woman threw water on him and slapped him on the left side of his face three times. The victim stated he grabbed the woman's wrist after being hit a third time where she fell to the carpeted area in the living room, scratching her wrist and causing a small abrasion. The victim did not have any injuries.
Officers spoke with the suspect, who admitted she had made the first physical contact by throwing water on the victim, and slapping him, however, the woman said she only slapped the man twice, not three times. She was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.
