Reminder: Fireworks are happening TONIGHT, Saturday, July 9 near Mills Park
UPDATE: The Fire Chief told RSVP they will wait until 9:15-9:30 p.m. to make the call on whether or not the fireworks will be able to be shot off due to potential wind conditions.
***
After the Fourth of July Fireworks were cancelled due to wind and a concern from the Carson City Fire Department regarding potential fire danger, the fireworks have been rescheduled for Saturday night.
Views of the fireworks will be possible from around central Carson City, but the best viewing will occur at Mills Park.
Fireworks will begin once it is dark, most likely sometime between 8:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Carson City's RSVP puts on and pays for the Fourth of July fireworks every year as part of their fundraising efforts to provide help to rural seniors in need.
