Weekend Carson City events feature car revival show, outdoor concert, cornhole tournament and more
As the summer season charges on and daily temperatures soar well into triple digits, Carson City’s weekend social calendar fills up with live music and community events.
The Carson City Downtown Car Revival Show will take place on Saturday, July 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Fifth and Robinson streets. The event is free of charge, however car registration fees will benefit Food For Thought and the Veterans’ Guest House. Go to the Facebook event page here for more information.
A local favorite is back with the start of the Levitt AMP concert series on Saturday, July 10. Jelly Bread will head the double-feature performances beginning at 7 p.m. with Sal’s Greenhouse to follow at 8:30 p.m. All concerts will be held in BAC’s outdoor amphitheatre and are free of charge. The Summer 2021 Downtown Throw Down cornhole tournament will begin on Saturday, July 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Presented by the Downtown Business Association and Northern Nevada Cornhole, the games will be played in Telegraph Square. The Carson City Farmer’s Market returns for another Saturday at its temporary location east of the Carson Nugget in the parking lot at 412 N. Stewart Street from 8:30 a.m to 1 p.m. More information can be found here.
The Carson City Ghost Walk is back for its last event of July on Saturday, July 10 at 7 p.m. The walking tour of Carson City’s historic downtown and west side is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to the Facebook event page here.

Living the Good Life Nightclub, Bistro and Lounge will present live music from the Trippin’ King Snakes on Friday, July 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. in their outside venue. The Bank Saloon will present live music from Brian Lester on Friday, July 9 and Craig Fletcher on Saturday, July 10 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Both events are free of charge and open to the public.
Bella Vita Bistro will host live music from the Kirk Reba Duo on Friday, July 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. in their location inside the Carson Mall. Reservations are advised, call 775-515-4300 to save your spot.

The Brewery Arts Center is hosting their weekly Art in the Afternoon (for kids) event on Friday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at their location on King Street. The American Century Championship golf tournament is back this weekend on the storied Edgewood Tahoe South course. First rounds are scheduled to begin Friday, July 9 at 8 a.m. and run through Sunday, July 11.
