Carson City firefighters assist Douglas County with brush fire at Topaz Lake
UPDATE: 1:25PM: Forward progress of the fire on Masonic Drive has been stopped, according to a report from the Record-Courier, but not before one home caught fire and became fully involved.
The blaze has been held to the one structure so far. Air support has been cancelled as a result of forward progress made by ground crews.

A Carson City brush engine unit has been dispatched to assist in fighting a brush fire burning at Topaz Lake.
The fire was reported around 12:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the 2000 block of Masonic Drive in southern Douglas County, according to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center.
No information is available yet on the size of the fire, containment, or if structures are threatened.
