Carson City sheriff's deputies make drug, DUI and warrant arrests over holiday weekend
Two men and one woman were arrested early Tuesday for alleged drug related offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Boyd Turtle, 57, was arrested for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and four misdemeanor offenses: possession of drug paraphernalia, disobedience to a traffic control device, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance. Bail: $2,500.
Also arrested during the same traffic stop was Jerome Jay Abbie, 60, for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and open container. Bail: $2,500.
The third person booked was Bertena May Galvan, 60, for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.
In other arrests:
— A 28-year-old Carson City man, Clifford Davis, was arrested July 4 for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.
— A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested July 3 for misdemeanor suspicion of simple battery. According to the arrest report, the man became verbally aggressive and threw a purple drink in the face of another man. Bail: $1,137.
— A 29-year-old woman was arrested July 5, 11:25 a.m. for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant. Bail: $3,000.
— A 41-year-old Carson City man as arrested July 5 for a misdemeanor bench warrant issued out of Carson City Municipal Court. Bail: $10,000 cash only.
— A 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested July 4 for misdemeanor suspicion of driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance. Bail: $1,274.
— A 63-year-old Carson City man, Mark Joseph Keim, was arrested July 4 for suspicion of DUI drugs with a prior felony DUI, driving without a valid license and speeding. Bail: $2,500.
— A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested July 4, 2:35 a.m. for misdemeanor suspicion of Department of Alternative Sentencing probation violation. According to the booking report, one of the conditions of probation was not to drink. The man was intoxicated when interviewed by law enforcement, admitting to consuming two beers and three shots of vodka. He provided a preliminary breath sample of .290. Bail: $3,137.
