In a crash earlier in Alpine County, CHP troopers were called to a single vehicle accident at 3:30 p.m. The driver of a Ford pickup was headed east on Airport Road one mile east of State Route 89 in Markleeville, Calif. For an unknown reason the vehicle drifted off of the paved portion of the road and onto the shoulder.
