Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Woman arrested for felony drug, unlawful credit card possession

A 29 year-old transient woman was arrested Friday afternoon at 1:55 p.m. in the 4800 block of Hells Bells Road on two felony offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, including methamphetamine possession and possession of a credit card without permission.

Jessica Frances Aispuro was taken into custody subsequent to a welfare check on an upset female at a residence on Hells Bells, according to the arrest report.

A Sheriff's deputy made contact with Aispuro, who reported she wanted to get her property out of a friend's garage.

A records check on Aispuro confirmed two outstanding bench warrants, including one for gross misdemeanor unlawful taking of a motor vehicle issued by the Washoe District Court and a second as material witness issued out of Reno Township Justice Court.

Aispuro was detained in handcuffs at that point. A subsequent search of her person and belongings recovered two baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, which Aispuro admitted was meth, the report said.

A meth smoking pipe was also recovered in the search, along with a credit-debit card belonging to a male. The male's name on the card matched up to an earlier call from a male about an unwanted female subject, the report said.

Aispuro reported she met up with the male at a casino and agreed to exchange sex for $100. Afterward, she said the male gave her his debit-credit card as payment.

Contact was made with the male at his address. He reported he had met Aispuro the night before and she refused to leave his residence the next morning. He reported that she did not have permission to possess his debit-credit card, stating it was stolen.

Aispuro was arrested and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $5,000.

In other arrests:

— A 33 year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday evening at 7:22 p.m. in the area of North Carson and East William streets for gross misdemeanor child neglect-endangerment and misdemeanor first-offense driving under the influence (DUI), a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

According to the arrest report, a traffic stop was made on a white sedan traveling northbound on Carson Street without either front or rear license plates. Upon making the stop, the Sheriff's deputy noted a temporary moving permit on the front windshield.

Contact was made with the suspect driver and her passenger, a juvenile, who handed the officer the permit from the windshield. A slight odor of alcohol was detected coming from inside of the vehicle, the report said, and the driver exhibited watery eyes.

The suspect driver admitted to having consumed alcohol and smoked two hits of marijuana earlier. She consented to field sobriety testing (FST), which demonstrated signs of impairment, the report said.

A preliminary breath test (PBT) was also administered upon consent and yielded breath-alcohol content (BAC) of .091 percent, the report said. The suspect driver was handcuffed and taken into custody at that point.

Arrangements were made to transport the juvenile home to his father, the report said.

The suspect was then transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $2,500.

— A 25 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday morning at 5:06 a.m. in the 2200 block of East Long Street for gross misdemeanor using a vehicle without permission and misdemeanor DUI drugs, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

According to the arrest report, a Sheriff's deputy responded to a stolen vehicle report at a residence on Long Street. The vehicle's registered owner and reporting party (RP) told law enforcement that she suspected her ex-boyfriend had taken the vehicle.

The deputy spotted the vehicle on scene driving through the grass of the apartment complex without headlights on and ordered the driver to stop, the report said.

The driver complied and identified himself, determined to be the ex-boyfriend of the RP-registered owner. He was detained in handcuffs during continued questioning.

The RP said she and the suspect were no longer dating, but still lived together and also had a child together. The suspect, she said, had a history of taking her vehicle without permission, so she began to hide the keys from him.

This time, however, the RP said she forgot to hide the keys and fell asleep. When she awoke, the keys and the vehicle were gone, so she reported it stolen.

The RP said she wanted to press charges this time and signed a citizen's arrest form, the arrest report said.

The suspect was questioned and reported that he drives the vehicle all of the time. He admitted that he did not ask permission to drive the vehicle; however, he insisted she knew about it because he told her while she was sleeping.

The suspect said he was driving on the grass of the apartment so he could return the vehicle without being noticed, the arrest report said.

While observing the suspect, the deputy noted slow, forced movements, droopy eyes and thick, slurred speech.

The suspect admitted to having smoked a hit of marijuana before driving the vehicle and also injecting himself with meth the day before.

He consented to FSTs, which showed signs of impairment, the report said.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $2,500.

— A 38 year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Carson City Jail on an active misdemeanor contempt of court bench warrant issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

According to the arrest report, the woman arrived at the jail to turn herself in on the outstanding warrant. A records check confirmed the warrant and she was taken into custody for booking. Bail: $1,000.

— A 31 year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday night at 9:46 p.m. in the 2700 block of South Carson Street on an active misdemeanor failure to appear bench warrant issued by the Renow Township Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

According to the arrest report, a Sheriff's deputy responded to a call about a stolen debit card. The victim-reporting party told Carson City Dispatch that her daughter had stolen her debit card and may be en route to a pharmacy traveling in a blue vehicle.

The deputy was initially unable to locate the vehicle and arrived at the RP residence to gather more information.

The RP stated her daughter went into her purse, took her card and left. During the interview with law enforcement, a blue vehicle was observed arriving at the location, the report said.

The suspect exited and returned the card to her mother. The deputy detained the suspect in handcuffs at that point. A records check through dispatch confirmed the outstanding warrant and she was transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $15,000.
