Carson City Sheriff's Office: Excessive speeding remains cause of many crashes
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is Joining Forces with other Nevada Law Enforcement agencies to increase enforcement on speeding violations from Thursday, July 1 through July 12.
Summer months for driving can be dangerous for travelers in and around Carson City. Regularly scheduled school activities wind down at the end of June, vacations are in full swing, BBQ’s are up and running and we are all out to enjoy the great weather.
More drivers and roadway users can cause delays and changing driving conditions. By slowing down and paying attention to speed limits we can all help each other arrive safely to our summer fun.
Be responsible, slow down, drive the speed limit and have a great summer.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office remains dedicated to bringing the number of fatalities on our roadways to zero through increasing public awareness about the dangers of speeding. More information about safe driving and the state’s Zero Fatalities goal is available online at www.ZeroFatalitiesNV.com.
