Brush fire burning in Pine Nut Mountains in Douglas County

UPDATE 5:17PM: Some brush units are being released from the scene.

UPDATE 4:50PM: Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center has downsized the size to 0.1 acre. The fire appears to be putting out less smoke than earlier.

East Fork Fire and other agencies responded after 3 p.m. Monday to a brush fire in the Pine Nut Mountains in Douglas County.

Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center says multiple resources are on the scene and initially reported the fire is from 3 to 5 acres. It has since scaled back the figure to 0.1 acre.

It is unknown at this time if there are any structures threatened.

The fire is burning due east of Stockyard Road, according to The Record-Courier.
