Carson City sheriff's detectives seek public's help finding stolen classic car
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vehicle theft that happened in the Northridge area early Sunday morning. Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating the vehicle, a black 1970 Chevrolet Impala, which has unique features.
On June 14, 2020 at approximately 2:18 a.m. video surveillance showed a male suspect wearing dark hooded jacket and dark sweatpants getting in the Impala and driving away, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Det. Sam Hatley.
The stolen vehicle is a black two door 1970 Chevrolet Impala, lifted with large 26-inch chrome wheels with Nevada license plates 334-L54. Scroll through the two photos and click on each to enlarge.
Also included is video of the theft, which can be viewed here. It should be noted that in the video, the vehicle theft happens in the background, across the street, not the foreground where two vehicles are plainly present.
