SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
Cooler temperatures will spread over western Nevada Saturday. Daytime highs Saturday are expected to be below average for most of western Nevada, only reaching into the mid to upper 60s Saturday around Carson City to around or just above 70 on Sunday, forecasters said.
Meanwhile, Sierra valleys and the Lake Tahoe Basin "will struggle into the mid 50s through the weekend," according to NWS forecasters. Winds for the most part will remain breezy Saturday in the Sierra, with gusts generally falling back into the 25-35 mph range across much of the region. A few stronger gusts are still possible in the eastern Sierra.
There's a slight chance, around 15 to 20 percent, for a thunderstorm to develop on Saturday in northeast California with lower chances, 10 to 15 percent, going south into the Lake Tahoe basin. Outside of any developing thunderstorms, total precipitation will mostly lean to only a trace, forecasters said.
Temperatures will remain below average and cooler through Sunday with a warming trend gearing up through next week.
