A 33 year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Saturday morning in the 300 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer after disturbing on officer who was interviewing subjects, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

— A 54 year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Wednesday morning at 2:25 a.m. in the area of East Fifth and Teague streets for felony drug trafficking, as well as misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession and violation of terms with the Carson City Department of Alternative Sentencing (DAS), a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
Virginia Lee Keppinger was taken into custody after law enforcement located her vehicle at her residence. Carson City Dispatch had put out an attempt to locate on a dark colored Jeep that was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed and driving into oncoming traffic.
Dispatch provided a license plate number and an address. The responding Sheriff's deputy headed in that direction, eventually observing a dark-colored SUV coming at him at traveling at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle began to negotiate a curve, it nearly entered the opposite lane of travel where the patrol vehicle was, the report said.
The deputy then began pursuit of the vehicle, confirming its license plate as that of the vehicle reported earlier. A traffic stop was then made and the deputy contacted the suspect driver, who spoke rapidly and was unable to remain still throughout the stop, the report said.
A K-9 unit arrived in support and an exterior sniff of the vehicle was performed, resulting in a positive alert. The vehicle's interior was subsequently searched and a clear, crystalline substance was discovered inside the suspect's purse. Two suspected methamphetamine pipes were also recovered during the search.
Keppinger was handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $20,000.
