First Carson Farmer's Market of the year goes off without a hitch, customers adhere to social distancing
The first Carson Farmer's Market of the season took place Saturday and all was well with social distancing measures in place.
Vendors were limited to growers and artisans who make products from what they grow only, and meat vendors should be coming back soon.
The market itself was cautioned off with tape so that customers could only use a few entrances and exits, which were stationed with both hand sanitizer and hand washing stations.
In addition, customers were asked not to touch any produce but instead ordered what they wanted from the vendors themselves.
Everyone appeared to be taking the social distancing measures seriously, and many were wearing masks while inside the market area.
With these measures in place and the respect to them shown by the customers, the Farmer's Market is sure to continue throughout the season.
Some items for purchase included fresh eggs, spring garlic, honey, an array of stone fruit, organic beets, fresh strawberries, bundles of leeks, and much more.
