Michael Hohl Subaru’s 'Share the Love' event raises $15K for Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada
Matthew Hohl and the team at Michael Hohl Subaru recently presented a $15,000 check to kids from The Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada.
The donation is part of the Subaru ‘Share the Love’ event, a national initiative that spans November to January and contributes $250 from every car sale and lease to hometown charities. Subaru has donated more than $200 million to over 1400 charities in the past 13 years.
“The opportunity to help local programs is exactly what ‘Share the Love’ is all about,“ said Matthew Hohl. “The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada provide much needed programs for kids and families, many of which are our customers and our employees. We’re proud to support the Clubs and the important work they do for our youth.”
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada is honored to be the local recipient of the event, and $15,000 goes a long way in helping the Clubs.
“Our kids were so excited to hold the big check, and they were in awe that Michael Hohl Subaru was giving to the Clubs,” said Nick Brancato, Resource Development Director for BGCWN. “So, when I say that we appreciate this contribution, I mean everyone — from our board of directors, to our leadership team, to our kids, are grateful for the way that Michael Hohl and our community continues to support our commitment to providing a safe place for our kids to learn, grow and thrive.”
Michael Hohl Subaru continued their commitment to our youth by facilitating automotive education activities at the Club this month. Service technicians showed kids how to find the spare tire in a vehicle and how to change a tire. Kids practiced tightening and loosening lug nuts. Subaru’s participation is part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada’s Reaching ALL Youth (RALLY) campaign that is connecting community partners to youth with enrichment activities throughout May and June.
