Carson City man arrested for indecent exposure in front of a minor

A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday night after allegedly exposing himself in front of a minor.
According to the arrest report, Mario Quevedo was arrested after the mother of the child called dispatch reporting that Quevedo had come into her bedroom and exposed his genitals in front of her and her daughter.
She advised he had just left the house.
Deputies went to the scene and searched the area and surrounding streets but could not locate Quevedo. However, when they returned to the house, they found him standing in the driveway smoking a cigarette.
Quevedo told deputies he had walked back to the house to turn himself in.
Quevedo was placed in the patrol vehicle to separate him from the mother of the child, who had come outside to yell at him.
Quevedo admitted to deputies that he had exposed himself with his pants and underwear down. He stated he had smoked methamphetamine earlier that night, as it was the “last time he was planning on using ever.”
He stated he remembered walking into the room, but “blacked out for a minute from being high” and when he came to he realized he had his pants and underwear down at his feet, exposing his genitals.
Deputies spoke with the mother of the child, who stated she and the child were in bed getting ready to go to sleep when Quevedo, high from drug use, entered her room and “just stood there.”
She said he was talking about how he wanted to “get out of the gang life” and started walking closer to the bed, and began slowly pulling down his pants in front of her and the child.
The mother of the child repeatedly told Quevedo to get out of the room. When he was within two feet of the mother and child, he pulled his underwear down, exposing his genitals, at which point the mother of the child began pushing and punching Quevedo to get him away from the child, and yelled at him to get out of the house.
While this was occurring, the child ran out of the room to get away from Quevedo.
Quevedo was booked for felony indecent or obscene exposure, and felony indecent or obscene exposure in front of a child under 18.
