Carson Chamber Singers to begin rehearsals for June and July concerts
The Carson Chamber Singers, a performing group of the Carson City Symphony Association, will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, May 24, for two free outdoor concerts with the Symphony on June 12 and July 4, 2022.
The rehearsals, directed by Ricky Hutton, will be on Tuesdays, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at the LDS Church, 411 N. Saliman Road in Carson City, and additional rehearsals with the orchestra at the Carson City Senior Center. Singers may join for one or both concerts.
The first concert is the annual Pops Party on Sunday, June 12, 6:00 p.m., at the Capital Amphitheater between the Capitol and Legislature buildings in Carson City. The second will be part of the Genoa Americana Celebration on July 4 at 4:30 p.m. at Mormon Station State Park in Genoa.

The program includes Dos Oruguitas from Disney's "Encanto" by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Down By the Riverside arranged by John Rutter, and Homeland by Gustav Holst, plus patriotic favorites for July 4.
