An early Thursday morning fight at a bar resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old man for suspicion of two counts assault with a deadly weapon following an incident involving a gun, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Angel Rosa-Carrillo of Carson City, who is listed in the report as being a prison guard, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. in the 300 block of East William Street. He was also booked for suspicion of misdemeanor drawing/brandishing a deadly weapon in a threatening manner, being in possession of a firearm while intoxicated and DUI.
According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to the bar at 1:10 a.m. for a report of a fight with 5 to 6 male subjects inside and one subject who was armed with a hand gun.
Deputies arrived and observed a vehicle attempting to leave the parking lot. A deputy blocked the exit of the parking lot to make contact with the driver. At that time, deputies ordered the driver, Rosa-Carrillo, and the right front passenger to exit the car. Rosa-Carrillo was placed into handcuffs. Carson City Fire Department responded due to wounds to the passenger's face. The suspect informed a deputy that he had a hand gun that was involved and it was located under the driver's seat. A Glock Gen 5 33X loaded with 15 rounds under the driver's seat was recovered.
A deputy could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the suspect, as well has him having red watery eyes and slurred speech. Other deputies conducted an investigation on what had happened while a field sobriety test was done on the suspect.
During the FST, the suspect showed signs of impairment and provided a preliminary breath test of .216. He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. At jail he submitted to an evidentiary blood draw, according to the booking report.
