It’s Your City: Wednesday farmer’s market in Carson City launches June 1
It’s Your City host Cortney Bloomer speaks with Steve Roznier about the new Wednesday night farmer’s market in Carson City that begins June 1. Also in this program, Doug Cramer from Mom & Pop's Diner speaks about access and the future of the Bob McFadden Plaza, being constructed in the area of Third and Curry.
The new Wednesday farmer’s market, not to be confused with Saturday’s Third and Curry Farmer's Market, will add to the market offerings downtown. Roznier has managed farmers markets around the Lake Tahoe area and says the time was right to bring a midweek market to Carson City. See the video below.
The new market will be open every Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. through the end of October at Third and Curry streets in the new Bob McFadden Plaza.
Meanwhile, Saturday's Third and Curry Street Market summer market runs from June 4 to Sept. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It's Your City is a weekly program that highlights news, happenings and current events around Carson City. The program is sponsored by Indie Film America, which will be bringing three films to the Brewery Arts Center this summer. You can follow them on Facebook here.
