Carson City sheriff's arrest log for Tuesday
A 29-year-old Carson City man was booked into Carson City Jail on Tuesday, 8:10 a.m. on a felony warrant alleging failure to stop at the scene of an accident that involved personal injury or death.
Arrested was John Raymond Gelien. The warrant was issued July 8, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. He was released on $50,000 bail. Carson Now contacted the district's attorney's office regarding the case. Go here for the update and criminal complaint.
In other arrests: A Carson City woman was arrested Monday, 4:59 a.m. in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on misdemeanor charges of violation of a suspended sentence, and disorderly conduct. Bail: $1,242.
— A 34-year-old Reno man, Jack Brandon Yates, was booked Sunday, 10:45 a.m. into Carson City Jail on a felony warrant alleging burglary, issued Jan. 20, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $20,000.
— Two men were arrested Sunday, 7:30 p.m. in the area of East William and Rand Street on burglary charges after allegedly stealing candy and chips from the 99 Cent store. A store employee said they saw the men in the candy aisle of the store taking items front the shelf and putting them into their backpacks and jackets. When the employee confronted the men, they ran out of the store. Bail: $2,500 each.
