Carson City man arrested for stealing golf cart, trespassing at airport, entering fuel trucks
Wednesday evening deputies were dispatched to the Carson City Airport on report of a man “running around the airport” inside the secured gates. Upon arrival, deputies learned the man had acquired a golf cart and was driving around in the area.
Deputies located the man in the area of Lockheed Way inside of a roundabout. The man, identified as Fredrick Riley Waldrop, was cooperative with deputies. He had no shirt on and had plastic wrapped around his left foot, according to the report.
Once Waldrop was detained, deputies spoke with the reporting party who said he entered the secured airport gates when he encountered Waldrop. Waldrop was standing next to a “crew car” and that the doors were opened.
Another reporting party said they also saw Waldrop inside one of the airport fuel trucks, and provided video of the incident.
According to the reporting party, Waldrop left through the secured gates and walked over to the area of 2300 Lockheed Way where Waldrop entered another gate and acquired a red golf cart.
Shortly after, Waldrop left the golf cart and walked to the roundabout where deputies made contact.
Waldrop was taken to the jail without incident for the crimes of felony vehicle burglary and misdemeanor trespassing.

— An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3500 block of Shadow Lane for minor consumption and DUI first.
According to the police report, deputies stopped the teen after the witnessed the driver fail to make complete stops at two stop signs.
When deputies made contact with the teen, they reportedly smelled a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle.”
With permission, deputies searched the teen and located an un-opened Twisted Tea in his left front pocket, and an empty 99 Bananas “shooter” in his right front pocket, according to the report.
The teen admitted to drinking. A preliminary breath test resulted in a .143 BAC.
He was taken into custody without incident.

— A 64-year-old man was arrested in the area of Airport Road for possession of methamphetamine and trespassing.
According to the police report, deputies were transported to a residence on report of a trespasser. The reporting party stated they had the man detained in their backyard.
Deputies located the man and the reporting party in the backyard of the residence, and deputies spoke with the man. He stated he had attempted to get away from people who “tried to perform surgery on him” at Carson Tahoe Hospital, and ended up in the backyard of the home on Airport Road.
Deputies asked the man if he did any drugs, and the man said he had used methamphetamine a few hours prior. He said he did not have any drugs on him currently.
At the residence, there are “about 10 no trespassing signs along the fence” the man had entered, according to the report, and the reporting party filled out a citizen’s report for trespassing and stated he wanted to press charges.
The man was transported to the jail, and during intake, a small baggie of what appeared to be methamphetamine was located on his person.

— Special Enforcement Team deputies arrested a 19-year-old man in the area of Silver Sage and Koontz for alleged possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
According to the arrest report, SET deputies stopped a vehicle at Koontz and Silver Sage, and K9 Deputy Remus arrived to conduct a free air sniff of the exterior of the car. Remus gave an alert of the presence of drug odor, and the car was searched.
Inside, deputies located a glass stem with a white substance that gave a presumptive positive for methamphetamine.
The rest of the broken pipe was located in the center console.
On a search of the 19-year-old, deputies located a small baggie with a clear crystal-like substance on the inside.
The teen was transported without incident.
