Carson City woman arrested after assaulting father
A 52-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the area of Condor Circle Thursday afternoon for domestic battery.
The woman was arrested after deputies responded to the residence on the report of a domestic battery between a man and his daughter.
The man told deputies that he and his daughter live together and had been in a physical altercation. His daughter had a pendant that belonged to his late wife, he said, and was looking through her purse to take it back.
The woman attempted to pull her purse away from the man, and allegedly kicked him multiple times. One of the kicks struck his wrist watch, which caused a laceration to his left arm.
Deputies spoke with the woman, who appeared very intoxicated, according to the report. She had blood on her hands, shirt and face, which all belonged to her father.
She told deputies he was mad at her and started hitting her. She pushed him back with her feet. She was unable to explain why he was bleeding and why his blood was on her person.
She confirmed to deputies that he had been looking for the pendant in her purse, and allowed deputies to search for it. They found the chain for the pendant but not the pendant itself.
Deputies determined the woman to be the primary aggressor and took her into custody without incident.
