Smoldering light inside chicken coop prompts response from Carson City Fire Department
Carson City Fire Department responded late Wednesday morning to a report of smoke coming from a chicken coop in the 1900 block of Molly Drive.
The call came into dispatch at 11:45 a.m. after a neighbor alerted them of smoke coming from an approximately 6 foot by 4 foot chicken coop.
A CCFD battalion chief arriving on scene reported a smoldering light coming from the chicken coop. None of the chickens were harmed and the smoldering light was extinguished. Carson City Fire Department Engine 50 was assigned to handle the incident and all other engines have returned to quarters.
