Carson City July 4 weekend celebration returns for 2021, organizers seek sponsors for fireworks show, carnival

The Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range will be closed for construction projects beginning Wednesday, May 30 to Thursday, June 7, according to the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department.

The community is invited to learn about the upcoming Epic Rides event festivities and explore the course map with Kurt Meyer, Carson City Off-Road Event Manager at a June 7 public meeting.

Family, friends and fellow veterans gathered this Memorial Day at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City to pay respect by honoring buried veterans and fallen military.

A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for two felony counts suspicion of child endangerment, suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and other charges, a sheriff’s deputy said.
