On Monday, May 11 at 3 p.m., Nevada voters will have the opportunity to have their questions about the mail-in ballot process for the primary election answered by the Nevada Secretary of State’s office during a Facebook Live Q&A event.
Wayne Thorley, Nevada Deputy Secretary of State for Elections, will discuss the primary election mail-in ballot process Monday, May 11, 2020 at 3 p.m. at www.facebook.com/NVSOS
Questions may also be submitted to this link ahead of the live event.
The 2020 primary election will be a vote-by-mail election due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ballots are currently reaching voters across the state. Mail-in ballots provide Nevadans an accurate and valid way to vote this primary election in the comfort, safety and privacy of their own homes.
People are encouraged to attend the Facebook Live Q&A to learn more about the voting process, answer frequently asked questions and more.
Instructions for voting by mail are included with each ballot. All ballots also come with a secure pre-addressed, postage-paid ballot return envelope that must be used for returning the ballot. Voters are reminded to sign their return envelope before dropping it in the mail. In-person ballot drop off will also be available should a voter be unable to return their ballot by mail. Limited in-person voting will also be available in each county.
