The Carson River Watershed on Tap at the next Rotary Club of Carson City Meeting
The Rotary Club of Carson City will hear from experts at the Carson Water Subconservancy District at its next meeting.
The meeting will take place Tuesday, May 4, at 12:30 P.M. both in person at the Carson Nugget, and online via ZOOM. The public is invited to attend either option.
Watershed Program Manager Brenda Hunt and Program Specialist Shane Fryer say their presentation will focus on what the District does, as well as the issues and challenges facing our local watershed. “We want to educate Rotarians and the public on watershed planning and management, as well as the projects we are currently working on,” Hunt said. “We hope the presentation will inform Rotarians and guests about the simple steps they can take to improve the health of our watershed.”
The Rotary Club of Carson City recently returned to in-person meeting as COVID restrictions have eased. Anyone interested in attending either version should contact Peter Fishburn at pfishburn@charter.net. To learn more about the Rotary Club of Carson City visit www.carsonrotary.org
