Carson City Humane Society's Pet of the Week: Silt
Happy Thursday Carson City! The sky is blue, the bees are buzzing, and there are sun rays pooling across your floor as we speak. And do you know who loves a good sun ray? Cats!
Say hello to Silt.
If you are looking for a cat that loves to relax and nap in the warm afternoon sun, and are willing to allow him time to get to know you, come meet Silt at the Carson City Shelter today.
Silt is a four-year-old long haired cat that is sure to win your heart.
Silt came to Nevada Humane Society after reports of a cat in an unoccupied apartment were received by our Animal Control Officers. When officers arrived, they found Silt had been snacking on cookies he found inside a cupboard.
Now back at the shelter, with a little extra love, Silt has really opened up and allowed his true colors to shine! He loves to take long naps, and is happiest when he has a nice soft blanket to knead his invisible bread on. Silt also likes to get nice long pets at times.
Overall we feel he would make a great family cat as long as he is allowed time to adjust to his surroundings and warm up to new people he meets. Silt can go home with children, cats and dogs as long as proper introductions take place once back home.
Let's hear from Silt himself!
"My ideal environment? A soft space to curl up on, preferably where it is nice and quiet. The world can be big and scary, but you will protect me right? I need someone who understands that I might like a little extra time to myself and some time to warm up. Can you empathize with me? Come meet me today and who knows, we could be starting the beginning of a beautiful friendship!"
You can meet Silt by visiting the Carson City branch of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Road or by calling 775 887 2171 to find out more.
