NHP identifies 24-year-old Gardnerville man in Tuesday's fatal crash on State Route 88
The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified a Gardnerville man who died Tuesday in a single vehicle crash on State Route 88 in Douglas County.
The unrestrained driver, Justin Adams, 24, was the sole occupant and pronounced deceased on scene, according to NHP. On Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at approximately 3:11 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol troopers responded to the fatal crash involving a single vehicle on SR-88 and Douglas County mile marker 2 in Gardnerville.
A preliminary investigation shows that a red 2001 Subaru Forester was traveling northbound on SR-88 approaching Douglas County mile marker 2. The Subaru left the roadway to the right, overcorrected, and traveled across both north and southbound lanes exiting the southbound dirt shoulder. The right side of the vehicle struck a utility pole, according to NHP.
This crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) - NHP Case No. 210401418.
