Carson City weather: Dry and sunny weekend, showers likely next week
Sunny and and dry conditions will give Carson City and western Nevada another shot of pleasant outdoor weather for gardening and other weekend activities, but it will short-lived with spring showers on the move next week, according to the National Weather Service.
For Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas, we can expect light winds with daytime highs reaching into the mid 70s on Saturday. As Sunday approaches, the gradual warm up gets pushed out by a weak low pressure system from the northwest. Sunday will remain sunny with daytime temperatures in the mid-60s.
A series of fast moving systems will push through beginning late Monday into the rest of next week bringing periods of scattered rain and high elevation snow showers as well as dropping daily temperatures into the high 50s to low 60s range.
