Carson City's The Greenhouse Project Spring seedling sale is happening now
Carson City's The Greenhouse Project non-profit is hosting their Early Spring Plant Sale, which offers live plants grown and sold by The Greenhouse Project.
Patrons can order their selection of fresh produce by using the Project’s Shopify account to shop virtually.
Purchased goods can be picked up at the greenhouse behind Carson High School General on Thursdays and Fridays between 1 and 5 pm, and Saturdays between 9 am and noon. If those times don't work, TGP will try to coordinate a convenient time for you to pick up; email info@carsoncitygreenhouse.org for more details. All plants must be picked up; delivery or shipping is not available.
Produce like kale, chard, cabbage, lettuce, and broccoli will be available, all grown within the greenhouse and the Carson Tahoe Health Foothill Garden. Flowering plants intended for pollinators like bees are also being sold.
For those looking to buy plants during May, the annual Mother’s Day plant sale will be occurring, offering non-frost sensitive plants like tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, squash, and more!
“Anything that's frost-sensitive, we’ll wait until the (Mother’s Day) sale to sell,” King said.
