Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada Unveils Mosaic Mural
The Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada, through partnering with Arts for Children of Nevada, came up with a mosaic art program that allowed both youth and teens to create, paint and design their own permanent mural.
A hands-on approach to art in a new medium, with the end product to remain displayed in the main game room became a one month project that proved worthy of appreciation.
A special thank you to Stacy Woodbury of Southwest Gas who funded this project, Maureen and Colleen Conlin of Arts for Children of Nevada; all of the hours planning, creating, carving, glazing and workshops with the children, and
Ogre-Holm Pottery for the use of their kilns.
The Boys and Girls Club is always excited to introduce new ways of learning, creating, and showcasing our member's work.
The Boys and Girls Club is located at 1870 Russell Way, Carson City, NV
