Health office: 4 new COVID-19 cases in quad area, 3 in Carson City, 1 in Lyon County
Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday four new positive cases of COVID-19 in the Quad County region: Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey counties. This brings the total number of cases in the Quad-County region to 16.
The four new cases are:
— A male Carson City resident in his 50’s
— An 18-year-old male Carson City resident with close contact to a confirmed case
— A female Carson City resident in her 40’s
— A female Lyon County resident in her 70’s
This brings a total of 8 cases to Carson City, 6 to Douglas County, and 2 in Lyon County. Storey County does not have any cases.
The cases are self-isolating in their homes and are in stable conditions. Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the case will be released.

— 10,681 tests have come back negative
