Carson City sheriff's deputies make domestic battery, DUI arrests
A 45-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
According to the report, the man allegedly punched, picked up and dropped the victim on her head during an argument. The woman used pepper spray to defend herself.
Carson City Fire and Paramedics were called to the scene. Deputies could see a light red bump on the right side of her forehead with a minor laceration, a small wound on the top of her left ear and some bruising on her right arm. During the investigation, it was determined the man was the primary aggressor. Bail: $3,137.

— A 56-year-old man was arrested March 25 for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor petit larceny, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report. Brian John Fitzpatrick Sr., was arrested following an investigation into an incident at a grocery store parking lot in the 500 block of East William Street. Bail: $3,000 bondable.
— A 47-year-old NNCC prison inmate, Charles Nolan, was booked March 21 for a felony warrant alleging burglary and grand larceny. The warrant was issued October 12, 2020 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $5,000.
— A 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Sunday for suspicion of domestic battery. The suspect allegedly bit the male victim on his right arm after the two were arguing over perfume the suspect thought was missing. During the argument, she allegedly threw a perfume bottle at the victim, which did not hit him, the arrest report states.
The victim stated his girlfriend then grabbed a small jar of marijuana she was going to take with her when she left. The victim stated he advised the woman that she could not take all the marijuana and grabbed the jar. He stated when he grabbed the jar, the woman bit him in the right arm.
The deputy observed a bite mark on his right arm that was red and looked irritated, and a portion of it was bleeding, the report states. Bail: $3,137.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man as arrested Saturday for suspicion of DUI, open container and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
According to the booking report, a deputy observed a vehicle going northbound on Carson Street traveling at a high rate of speed. The deputy followed the vehicle to East Nye and Hot Springs, going 45 mph in a 35 mph zone. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, which failed to stop until it came to a apartment building.
The deputy instructed the driver to turn off the vehicle, and exit the vehicle. The officer could smell alcohol coming from the man. There was also an open beer in the center console of the vehicle. The deputy read the man his Miranda warning, and the man stated he was willing to speak. He stated he was just trying to make it to his mom's house in the apartment complex before stopping. He stated he knew he was already in trouble and was trying to get the car to his mom.
During the field sobriety tests he showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .249 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI and the other alleged offenses. Bail: $1,421.
— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 25 for suspicion of DUI drugs. According to the booking report, deputies responded to a vehicle that had driven off the road and was stuck in a ditch. The reporting party advised to dispatch the driver was acting odd and may possibly be impaired.
The deputy made contact with the driver by knocking on the driver's side front window. The man appeared confused and dazed as he opened the driver's door. The male identified himself. He had a small cut above his right eye. The deputy called for the Carson City Fire Department to respond to the scene to check the man for injuries.
The deputy observed the man's behavior as odd and irrational at times, and seemed to have uncontrollable head, arm, hand, leg and feet movements, the report states. The officer asked if he used any illegal drugs. The man admitted to using the street drug "Molly" earlier in the day and admitting to using marijuana. The man was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. He was again asked about what drugs he had taken. He advised he took two "Molly" capsules in a parking lot.
He was cleared by an emergency room doctor. The man agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI drugs. Bail: $1,137.
— A 45-year-old Mound House man was arrested March 26, 2:37 a.m. for suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane.
According to the booking report, a deputy observed a vehicle going northbound on North Carson Street make a U-turn in the middle of the street, heading southbound. The vehicle hit a curb while making the U-turn and failed to maintain his lane, with his right front and right rear tire crossing over into the bicycle lane.
The deputy made a traffic stop, and spoke with the driver, asking if had consumed any alcohol that morning. The man stated he had two drinks at a bar approximately an hour before the stop. The man agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment, the report states. He provided a preliminary breath test of .144 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane. Bail: $1,224.
— A 59-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 26, 2:36 a.m. for suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane. According to the booking report, a deputy observed a vehicle driving eastbound on William Street swerve multiple times and outside the solid white edge lane twice.
The deputy made a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, who stated he did not consume any alcohol or illicit substances. The deputy observed the man had red watery eyes and had an odor of alcohol coming from his person, the report states.
The man submitted to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a partial preliminary breath sample of .250 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he consented to a blood draw. Bail: $1,224.
