According to the booking report, deputies we're dispatched just after 5 p.m. to Eagle Valley Golf Course in reference to an intoxicated driver. Dispatch was advised by golf course staff that an older male was reportedly racing golf carts with friends, advising "I'm drunk."

The male then reportedly got into a black pickup and left on Centennial Park Drive toward Highway 50 East. A deputy observed the vehicle parked on the side of the road just outside of Eagle Valley Golf Course. The engine was running and the male appeared to be talking on the phone.

The deputy approached the driver's side window. The driver identified himself. The officer could smell an overwhelming odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle, the report states.

The officer asked the man if he had just left Eagle Valley Golf Course. The man replied yes. He was asked if he had consumed any alcohol. The man replied yes. The officer noticed his speech was thick, and he slurred his words and his eyes were bloodshot, the report states.
