Band-O-Rama Resonates Well, Reverberates Band Students’ Success
Carson City School District hosted Band-O-Rama, an admission-free music event, Thursday, March 23 at Carson High School. The concert celebrated instrumental and music education throughout the district and featured bands from all age levels, including elementary, middle and high school.
Drawing in a large and enthusiastic audience of proud parents, teachers and community members, the concert showcased the year’s culmination of refined skill and talent. Nearly 500 performers in grades 5-12 participated including 194 elementary, 187 middle school and 110 high school instrumentalists.
“Band-O-Rama is a true celebration of the students’ hard work and devotion throughout the school year and a fitting tribute to the many hours of practice and rehearsals each student has dedicated to their instrument and musical craft,” said Nicolas Jacques, music and band teacher at Carson High School. “The concert is always a resounding success and a testament to the power of music education to inspire and uplift young minds.”
