The wholesale grocery retailer formerly known as Smart Foodservice has recently changed names, and received a new sign out front for US Foods Chef’Store at its Carson City location in the Lowe’s shopping center near Petsmart, 222 Fairview Dr Ste 100. The change was made nationwide in March after a company merger took place.
In a release on their website it states:
“We are excited to be joining such a strong brand under the umbrella of US Foods. This new name represents just the first step in the next evolution of our brand, to better serve existing and future customers,” says Derek Jones, President, Smart Foodservice Warehouse Stores.
According to the release, there will be no major changes to customers.
“As Chef’Store, the company will continue to utilize the day-to-day business model,” the releases states. “This approach will not only better emphasize the go-to market strategy, but will also offer restaurants and businesses the same competitive advantage that is available to some of the largest foodservice operators.”
US Foods Chef’Store is headquartered near Portland, Oregon.
“With a 60 year history in the Northwest, Chef’Store will have locations across the continental United States, providing quality wholesale and restaurant products at competitive prices,” the release states.
