Carson City emergency crews respond to 2 crashes, one involving a motorcycle
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded Thursday afternoon to two vehicle crashes that happened within minutes of each other — one in the 800 block of Fairview Drive and the other involving a motorcycle rider at the intersection of Nevada and Washington streets.
At around 3 p.m. emergency crews responded to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle rider near the intersection of Nevada and Washington streets. The motorcycle rider was up and walking around and declined to be taken to the hospital.
Around 10 minutes later, a two-vehicle crash was reported in the 800 block of Fairview Drive. One person was transported to the hospital. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Then at around 3:20 p.m. Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies made a high risk traffic stop on Fairview near the I-580 freeway. One person was detained and traffic was stopped briefly.
