Carson City School Board meeting to discuss competitions, early release days
The Carson City School Board will host its next meeting on March 12 at 7 p.m. in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street.
Topics to discuss will include the Superintendent’s Report, which will go over the NJROTC Orienteering Team and the report from the national competition. In addition, the Carson City High School Cheer Team and the recognition of third place winner at the USA Spirit Nationals Competition will be discussed.
Andrew Fueling will discuss the designation of Rife Silva & Company LLC as the Independent Audit Firm for Fiscal Year 2019 in an amount not to exceed $68,000. He will also present a discussion on tentative budget scenarios and assumptions for the Carson City School District during fiscal year 2019-2020.
Laurel Crossman and Richard Stokes will give a 2019 Nevada Legislation Update, reporting on items of interest relating to education.

— Friday, March 15, 2019, Bond Oversight Committee Meeting, 11:30 a.m., Pioneer High School, 225 E. Park Street, Building A.
— Thursday, March 21, 2019, Choir Palooza, 7:00 p.m., Carson High School gymnasium.
— Elementary student Parent/Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 and Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Minimum Day for elementary students. Classes dismiss at 12:40 p.m.
— Thursday, March 28, 2019, Band-O-Rama, 7 p.m., Carson High School gymnasium.
