Quad County COVID-19 Thursday report: Vaccinations for 65 and older begin Monday; 35 new cases, 49 recoveries
Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 that there are 35 new cases and 49 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region. This brings the total number of cases to 11,196, with 8,897 recoveries and 207 deaths; 2,092 cases remain active.

CCHHS COVID-19 Vaccinations 65 and older
Starting March 1, 2021 CCHHS will be vaccinating Quad County residents ages 65 and older. These vaccinations will occur simultaneously with the employment lane vaccinations. CCHHS opened a vaccination event on March 2, 2021 specifically for residents ages 65 and older.
The event is by appointment ONLY. Quad-County residents 65 and older will be able to schedule an appointment at any future CCHHS vaccination event.

Nevadans aged 65-plus are eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccine at a participating pharmacy ONLY. Nevadan’s aged 65 and older not yet eligible to receive the vaccine at a CCHHS event, but will be very soon. Go here to find a participating pharmacy.
Quad-County COVID19 Vaccine Weekly Update:
Vaccine statistics are updated weekly on Tuesday. These are the doses received and administered by CCHHS only. This does not include other vaccinations by other entities in the Quad County region. Statistics are current as of February 22, 2021. The doses for the week of Feb. 16 to Feb. 22 were not received until Feb. 22.

The dashboard includes a breakdown of cases by county, zip code, race, ethnicity, age, and gender.
The Quad-County COVID-19 Dashboard is updated regularly at 5 p.m. Data is provided by CCHHS and is based on preliminary laboratory findings. County statistics may be adjusted as investigations are completed and data is updated.
Additionally, these are laboratory-based data which may reflect some results on patients that live outside of the Quad-County Region (Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey County). These cases will be removed once the epidemiological investigation is performed and addresses are verified.

Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing for Quad-County Residents
Testing is for Quad-County (Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey County) residents ONLY, all others will be turned away. Events may be canceled 48 hours in advance if inclement weather is expected. Testing is free of charge, no appointments or reservations.
— There will be testing on Friday, Feb. 26, in Carson City at the Carson City Corporate Yard, 549 Airport Rd., from 9 to 11 a.m.
