Man arrested for warrant in alleged gun pointing incident at Carson City convenience store
A man was arrested Thursday for a felony warrant alleging assault with a deadly weapon in an incident that happened Sunday at a Carson City convenience store in which a customer allegedly had a gun pointed at him.
After receiving tips, the suspect, Jason Williams, a Carson City area resident, was identified. An arrest warrant was obtained and Williams was taken into custody Thursday afternoon. Bail has been set at $50,000.
Earlier this week, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division released surveillance photos of two suspects involved in the incident that happened at the Quik Stop convenience store at 3006 North Roop Street in Carson City. The second man involved has been identified and is "cooperating" with law enforcement, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Detective Sam Hatley.
